Oakland is a diverse city with something for everyone. This large city—52 square miles—has extensive open public lands, trails, bay shore front, hills and large lakes. Three freeways—CA-24, I-880, and I-580—cut through the city, making travel very convenient. There are also seven BART stations, multiple Transbay bus lines, an AMTRAK station and a ferry terminal at Jack London Square.
