EAST BAY MARKETS
Richmond, located north of El Cerrito, is 52 square miles in size. Best known for its role during WWII as a ship-building port, this rapidly changing city has a large variety of neighborhoods, businesses, and amenities. Richmond’s don’t-miss features include the Rosie the Riveter National Historical Park, Point Isabel Regional Shoreline with its dog friendly trails, and Wildcat Canyon Regional Park.
You will find every type of home in this large city, from modest bungalows in older neighborhoods to larger Craftsman houses, as well as condominium developments and exclusive homes with personal boat slips in Marina Bay.
Transportation is fairly easy as I-580 and I-80 run through the city. Several transbay bus lines and a ferry go directly to downtown San Francisco. In addition, Central Richmond has a BART and an Amtrak station.
